TCL has unveiled a new budget-friendly FFALCON series smart TV, the 2024 Thunderbird Sparrow 5 SE, in the Chinese market. The TV is now available for purchase on JD.com for 889 yuan ($125). Let’s delve into its key specs.

Thunderbird Sparrow 5 SE comes with a 43-inch display featuring a 1920 x 1080 resolution and utilizes a VA panel with a 60Hz refresh rate. The TV supports HDR10, enhancing the viewing experience with better contrast and color accuracy.

Under the hood, the smart TV is powered by a quad-core A53 processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB inbuilt storage, ensuring smooth operation across applications. The TV boasts a rapid boot-up feature, claiming to start in just 2 seconds, and it also supports booting simultaneously with a set-top box, adding convenience for users.

In terms of user interface and control, the TV comes with a remote control that includes three customizable buttons and two dedicated hotkeys for popular video streaming apps, making it easier to access favorite applications.

Audio-wise, the TV features full-range, high-power speakers that deliver clear sound quality. Additionally, the TV is designed with a metal-integrated curved full screen, which offers a higher screen-to-body ratio, allowing viewers to see more of the picture compared to standard TVs.
